Several aircraft were configured for the coastal patrol and anti-ship/submarine role with search radar and anti-ship missile/anti-submarine torpedo armament.

The C-101 was used by the Spanish air force only for training, but the type's other operators exploit the Aviojet's weapon capabilities for armament training and operational purpose.

With its longer nose and greater-span wing carrying Whitcomb winglets at the tips, the C-212M Series 300 has somewhat different appearance from earlier Aviocar models.
