The structure of the S.211 contains a comparatively large proportion of composites to keep weight low, and though the basic avionics fit is simple the type can be upgraded with more advanced systems.

Guided by men sitting on its wings, taxies on a rough Italian airstrip during the Second World War. The Folgore was one of Italy's best fighters of that war and production on a larger scale was prevented only by a shortage of engines.

Though it look comparatively modern with its low set wing, retractable landing gear with wide track main units, and enclosed cockpit with good fields of vision, the F.5 was inadequate fighter as it lacked performance and firepower.

The all metal airframe of the MB.339 is similar to the MB.326 with revised vertical tail, and a re-designed fuselage forward of the of the wing with a stepped up up rear cockpit, improved avionic and other changes.
