Military versions of the BO 105 are widely used in West Germany, and are also in smaller scale service with several other countries, including Indonesia where the type is made under license. 

 

Type: MBB/Kawasaki BK 117M two crew utility helicopter.
Max Speed: 155 mph at sea level.
Climb Rate: 1,476 ft. per minute.
Service Ceiling: 15,000 ft.
Range: 308 miles.
Armament: one 0.5 in 12.7 mm machine gun and a wide assortment of disposable weapons, including eight anti-tank missiles, carried on two hardpoints on the fuselage side.

In February 1977, MBB of West Germany and Kawasaki of Japan signed an agreement for the joint development of a twin-turbine utility helicopter suitable for military as well as civil use.

Type: Blohm und Voss Bv 138A-1 six seat maritime reconnaissance flying boat.

The Bv 138 was of unusual configuration was its central nacelle, twin booms, and three engines, but proved an effective long range reconnaissance machine with anti-ship/submarine capability.

Used for civil and military task, the Do J series proved itself and important plane in aviation history with a number of record breaking flights as well as pioneering civil operations.

Type: Zeppelin-Lindau (Domier) Rs III multi-seat reconnaissance flying boat.

The Rs III was a great achievement, but lacked any real role in the closing stages of the First World War.

The He 115's most useful role was coastal minelaying at night and at very low level.

Conceived in peacettime for the Netherlands, the Do 24 was used by the Luftwaffe for sea search and patrol between 1940 and 1945. Wartime production was in occupied Holland and France.

An Ar 196 taxiing slowly. the ability to alight on water was essential for recovery by parent ship's crane, and also suited the type for operation from coastal bases.
