FAMA IA-58A Pampa

Despite its failure in the Falklands war, the IA-58A Pucara remains an effective warplane in the counter-insurgency role. The IA-58A entered service in 1974, and 108 were built by what was then known as the Fabrica Militar de aviones and know as the Fabrica Argentina de Materiales Aeroespaciaes. The Falklands war of 1982 revealed that the Pucara lacks the performance and electronic sophistication to against modern air defense systems.
