The photo of the XC-99 was taken at Lackland A. F. B. in San Antonio TX. on the 6th day of November when I was attending a air show. This was my first opportunity to see the XC-99. It is being dismantle and being flown to the Air Force Museum near Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The XC-99 first flight took place Nov. 24,1947, Its first cargo run was to Kelly AFB on July 14, 1950, where most of the XC-99 flights took place.
